About Us

KVAL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of the arts and promoting all art media. We were conceived by Virginia Lary in 1972 and were first named the Kishwaukee Valley Art League. While attending the February Town and Country Art Show, Mrs. Lary saw a need for a local art organization. She circulated a signup sheet, and the response was overwhelming. Membership soon numbered 80 artists and crafters. Since that time, KVAL has continued to function as a not-for-profit organization and acquired a 501(c)(3) status in April 2016.

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
